About me
North Shore Wind Symphony is a community band celebrating it’s 10th anniversary in 2026. Part of the Barker Alumni association, the band is made up of over 60 members with diverse backgrounds and ages, and a shared commitment to quality music making. Based in the Hornsby area, many players are music teachers in the local area, who bring young musicians from around the community to listen to us play. The group is conducted by Andrew McWade and has competed at state and national championships at an A grade level. The group performs 3-4 times a year.
