About me
Jim lectures in Music Education at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and holds a PhD from Sydney University. He is in demand as a leader of professional learning for music teachers, composition masterclasses for students in schools, as a guest conductor of school ensembles and as a director of community choirs.
Jim is also a composer of operas, concertos, choral and orchestral works as well as pieces for solo instrument and chamber music. He has written for some of Australia's finest musicians but is also deeply committed to creating new music for young musicians, school ensembles and children.
