The North Shore Wind Symphony was founded in 2016 and its members are passionate about making meaningful music. We promote a lifelong love of music by providing like-minded individuals the opportunity to perform quality wind ensemble repertoire in an environment driven by enjoyment and respect. With the support of the Barker Alumni, we strive to share this enjoyment of music-making across Sydney and beyond.

The Big Band of the Australian Army Band Sydney will present the excitement of contemporary Australian Big Band music through a diverse, and entertaining selection of charts which celebrate the capability of Army’s composers, arrangers, instrumentalists, and vocalists.
Their programme will also shine a light on emerging and established Australian writers from the civilian community.
Listeners will experience ensemble showmanship, touching ballads, and dazzling soloists to name just a few.
Not just a performance, the audience will learn how they can engage with the Australian Army Band Sydney for their next community engagement event, or ensemble workshop. Amongst the music, employment pathways will be offered for the next generation of musicians inspired to serve Australia through music.
